Located south of Tallahassee and north of Pensacola, Gulf Breeze serves as a bedroom community for both cities. It is home to several large parks and retail centers including Creekside Parkway, which is home to many outdoor stores and eateries including Crabtree Creek Mall and Crabtree Creek Village. The town also features several golf courses including the Wekiva Springs Golf Resort & Spa and Turtle Lake Golf Club. Surrounding areas include Apalachicola National Forest and Escambia County Land Trust where there are numerous hiking trails. The Beach Trolley has routes that service the beaches in the area and usually follows the same route as the trolley does. The last route, the Palafox Trolley, has a route that goes to the Palafox Bay Marina and the Port of Gulf Breeze.
